CHURCH OF CHRIST.

ANNIVERSARY SERVICES,

On Sunday last anniversary services were held in the Helensville Chapel. A believers' baptisimal service was held in the morning at 10.30. In the. afternoon at 2.30, special singing was rendered by by the scholars, under the able conductorship of Mr Isaac Hughes. Mr T, W, Greenwood, of-Auckland, spoke to tlie scholars, taking for his subject "Puffing Billy," which proved ac^ery interesting address. In the evening at 7 p.m., the subject taken was " The Glory of the" Cross."

On Monday evening a tea meeting was held in the Star Theatre supper room,' when about sixty sat down to a sumptuous tea, and then- adjourned to the Chapel, where an entertainment was held. Items were rendered by the scholars, and addresses were given byMessrs Greenwood and T. Q. Jenkins. Every scholar was presented with a prize, and the singing of the National Anthem brought a happy gathering to a close.
