NEW TOWN CLERK
A SPECIAL meeting of the Helensville Town Board was held on Friday last, • Bth inst., to consider applications for the position of ClerK to the Board, all the members being present. The position is worth £95 per annum, and there were four application in, namely, twoladieß who do not reside in the district, and Messrs R. J. Walters and W. F, Raisher. After the applications had been read > and considered, it was unanimously defended to appoint Mr W. F. Raisher, who will take up his new duties on vi January next. " ' ." "
