PRODUCE MARKET Mb. J. JONES, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports : — The market this week has been very busy, and a large volume of business has passed through. The potato market has been well supplied, and prices are a shade easier. For prime potatoes good prices have been obtained. The poultry market was heavily supplied, and strong competition for good-conditioned birds. Turkeys are in very heavy demand. Butter and eggs are easier. POULTRY (2340 penned) Hens, prime 3s 6d to 4s 4d, good 3s to 3s sd, ordinary 2s 6d to 3s;. roosters, prime 5s 3d to 6s 3d, good 4s 6d to ss, small 2s to 3s, cockrells Is to Is sd; ducks 2s to 4s 3d; geese 5s to 63 ; turkeys, gobblers 10s to 15s 6d,.hens 5s to 8s ; ducklings 5d to Is, chickens 3d to 9d. Pigs, 15s to £1 7s 6d, FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, prime 12s to 14s, good 10s to lls 6d, small £5; onions, local 18s 6d ; pumpkins 10s ; kumeras £9 to £11. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter Is to Is Id, eggs Is 2d to Is sd, cheese 10d, hams lid to Is, sides 10 to llj^d. FRUIT Apples 12s 9d to 16s 6d, lemons 8s 6d to lls 6d, passions 7s 6d, gooseberries, to, 7s 3d, oranges 6s 6d.
