SHOOTING.
HELENSVILLE V. CITY.
A SHOOTING match took place at the Helensville Rifle Range on Saturday last, 25th inst., between teams belonging to the Auckland City Rifle Club and the Helensville Defence Corps. The weather conditions were very unfavourable, but notwithstanding the visitors put up a good score, and came out easy winners. The local boys were firing under service conditions, whilst their opponents were better equipped, their rifles being supplied with aperture sights, wind gauges, and slings. Afternoon tea and refreshments were served out by the ladies, and thoroughly appreciated by. all.
