EUCHRE AND DANCE

The ladies connected with the local Anglican Church Guild have organised and held during the past few months a series of progressive euchre parties, which have proved successful financially and socially. A good number of people attended the euchre party held on Monday evening last in the Star Theatre, about sixty taking part in the card playing. About, fifteen games were played, and at the finish six ladies tied for first place with ten games each to their credit. In the cut off Miss Dalton was successful in winning the prize. Mr Osmond, with 11 games, won the gentlemen's first prize. The winning of the consolation prizes by Mrs Ivich and Mr S. McAnnalley proved popular.
