AN IMPORTANT WANT
- . TO.THE EDITOR Sir,—Among the many " wanteds " in this township I hope you will agree with me that a Cottage Hospital is one of the most urgent needs. It is only necessary to think of recent events to satisfy anyone of the absolute necessity of the immediate attention to a matter of such vital importance. There has been, as is well known, some very extraordinary cirrcu instances carried on, but apparently, like many other matters, hushed up, I, for one, think it is about time this hole and corner business was done away with. It needs no extraordinary brain power to know that some cases, especially maternity, need the proper attention of those duly qualified. Why cannot we have a d uly qualified nurse settled here, as one is most urgently needed. The proposition is one that would soon be self-supporting. It only wants starting, and a very much needed " want " could be supplied. As your valuable paper is the only means of putting this matter before the public, I trust you will find space for this, and that abler men may take the matter up. —I am, etc., Maternity.
