POSTAL GROWLS
A PROMINENT business man of this town writes the Echo in effect, that there are many things in connection with the Postal Department at Helensville which want "shaking up"; then he goes on to state that anything appears to be good enough for this place—he might have said " bad enough " —and asks why it is not stated on the Directory that the Helensville telephone is open from 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. ? This, we take it, is not an omission on the part of the Helensville Postal Department, but the fault of the Chief in Auckland, which probably only reprint the Telephone Directory (as a whole) once a year, and it may be the 8 a.m. till 8 p.m. concession has not been in vogue a whole year yet; we are not certain. However, let's have our rights.
