A VOICE FROM LONDON.
HELENSVILLE CHILDREN SHOULD
FOLLOW EXAMPLE,
Lieut. Fletcher, whilst in hospital in Alexandria, wounded, received the Underwritten letter from a school girl near London. The letter was attached to a scarf which the little girl had worked. The public do not know how these little acts of kindness are appreciated by the sick and wounded soldiers. This letter is much valued by the owner. 83, Campray Road, Balkam, S. W., Ist March, 1915. Dear Tommy Atkins, This is a scarf that I knitted at my school, Telferscot Road. I thought I should like to send a line or two with it, just to wish you the best of luck. I hope the scarf will wrap you up well and keep you nice and warm. In knitting for you we feel we are doing our little bit for King and Country as you are doing yours. —From your sincere friend, Elsie Taylor. Aged 13.
