DEFENCE NOTES.

The Helensville Platoon will fall in at 1.45 p.m. on Saturday, 29th inst., to proceed to Kaukapa per train.

A Church parade will be held for all units at Parakai Hall on Sunday, 30th inst., at 2.30 p.m., in memory of Private Russell, who was killed in action on the 2nd inst. Fall in at the Defence Office, Helensville, at 1.30 p.m. * -X- *

In future a monthly Church Parade will be held for all units, as a mark of esteem and respect to our comrades at the front, who are assisting in the defence of the Union Jack, and also to the memory of those who have fallen in action. Date and time will be notified later.
