Messrs A. Buckland and Sons' report:— 'r. —At Helensville— . „ ; On Wednesday, 19th inst., there was s^J v an extra large yarding of choice cattle including many 3-year-old steers, and a " j large yarding of springers. All were i sold in the store line. Prices were as j follows: ■ , Good cows close to profit, £12 ; smaller ] £8 to £10 ; 2-year-old heifers, from £5 upwards. One nice line of 25 steers sold at $'\ £10 15s ; and another of about 50 sold at £10 ; yearling to 2-year-old steers, from £5 to £7 10s. - ;i Beef, £9 10s; smaller, £8 10s. % '4 Store cows, £5 to £7 10s. H! Calves, from £2 10 to £3 10s. A line of ewes in lamb, broken-mouth, up to £1 2s ; others of good quality, to , J £18s. J A choice line of 14 steers were purchased by Mr D. Stewart at £10 each. ' Also a choice line of shorthorn heifers from Mr H. Mather were sold at £8 15s j each.
