EUCHRE AND DANCE

THE usual monthly euchre party and dance, in connection with the Church of England Ladies' Guild, was held in the Star Theatre on Monday evening last. There was a good attendance, and the games were all* keenly contested and thoroughly enjoyed. The first prize for the ladies was awarded to Mrs Ellet, while of . the gentlemen Mr Murphy proved the champion. The much-coveted consolation prizes were carried off by Miss McLeod and Mr Ellet. A dainty supper was handed round and greatly appreciated, after which dancing was indulged in, and all present voted the evening a most enjoyable one.
