SUNDAY TRAIN FOR HELENSVILLE REFUSED.

A REQUEST for the running of a Sunday train from Auckland to Helensville was made by Mr A. Harris, while the Railway Estimates were being considered in Parliament last week. He said he was sure such a train would be largely used. The Hon. W. H. Herries said he could not see his way to grant the request. The policy of the Department was not to run any more Sunday trains than was necessary. Its own employees had also made a request to this effect.— Though at present refused, the time is bound to come when a Sunday train will be running.
