SUDDEN DEATH OF CHILD

AN inquest was held on 29th inst. by Mr W. R. Fosbroke, J.P., and a jury of five, of whom Mr H. Graham was foreman, on the body of Harold Edward Martin, aged one year and three months.

The police were represented by Constable Martin. The evidence went to show that deceased did not appear in his usual health on Saturday, 24th inst., having a cold and being slightly feverish ; on Sunday he became worse, 'and died on Monday morning in a convulsion. A verdict was returned that deceased died from bronchitis and pneumonia, followed by convulsions.

Deceased was the infant son of Mr Wallie Martin (hairdtiffcer of Helensville), and Mrs MOTtin, who have not long been resident amongst us, and much sympathyis felt for the bereaved parents. The remains of the little chap were conveyed to Waikumete cemetery by the 12.30 p.m. train on Tuesday,
