HELENSVILLE MEANS BUSINESS.

It was scarcely imagined some few weeks ago that the agitation started in Whangarei, North Auckland, should launch out and contribute an aeroplane to the British Government, but it now appears that this, is going to be an accomplished fact, The cost is estimated at about £3000, and Helensville has kindly consented to chip in, as will be seen elsewhere, as the result of a public meeting, and while subscriptions will gladly be received by the ECHO and others, the novel idea of collecting bottles for the Fund has been struck. Children of all grades may pop their bottles just inside the ECHO Office door; we will look after the rest of the business. Messrs Stringer, Garry, and Hill willalso receive bottles.
