ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH.
ON Good Friday, the Vicar held three services, which were Avell attended. On Easter Day, services were taken by the Rev. C. H. Strong, in the absence of the Vicar, who took the services at Touhoa, Port Albert, and Wellsford, which were all well attended. At St, Matthew's, all the services were well attended," particularly the evening service at 7 p.m., when the Rev. Strong delivered an eloquent address on the subject of the Resurrectign.
On Anzac Day, the Vicar took all three services. The ( Church looked well having the Easter decorations, with the addition of flags to mark the occasion.
On Suuday, April 30, Harvest Thanksgiving services were held, and the Church was decorated with fruit, flowers and vegetables, which were sent as usual to the Children's Home in Ponsonby. The Vicar preached at Evensong, giving an earnest and telling address. The anthem was "Ye Shall Dwell in the Land," which which was rendered by the . choir in a very efficient manner, the soloists being Miss Rimmer and Mr Robson. The organist- on Good Friday, Easter Day, and ({Harvest Thanksgiving, was MiHenry White, juur.
