A couple of children (a son of Mr H. White junr., and a son of Mr P, JMcLeod, . Shelly Beach), contracted scarlet fever and measles this week, the former being taken to the Auckland Hospital.

A wedding eventuated at St. Matthew's Church, Helensville, on Wednesday, the contracting parties -being Miss Channon and Mr McMillan. No particulars have been supplied us. Miss Channon is wellknown as the popular pianist at the Star Theatre Pictures.

A private letter from Mr H. F. Edgecumbe, well-known in bowling circles, states that he is now permanentlylocated in the Land Registry Office, Dunedin, and, that he likes the change very much.
