STOCK SALES

Messrs A. Buckland and Sons'

report

There was a very large yarding of cattle and sheep at the Helensville yards on Monday last. Buyers were plentiful and a successful sale resulted.

Springers made from £5 10s to £10. There was a small offering.

Well up to 100 beef were yarded, and sold at from £8 to £12 15s. Steers made from £9 to £12 17s 6d. A nice line of 33 steers made £9 ss, but were passed in. Store cows and calves made £8 10. Store cows, from £4 10s to £7. Bulls, from £7 to £10 10s. One good line of 40 calves made £2 17s 6d; others, from £1 10s to £2.

Yearling to 18-months steers made from £4 to £5,

There was a large yarding of sheep, and about 1000 were sold. Wethers made £1 3s 6d. ,Ewes, from 11s to 17s. One line of 90 ewes made 16s. A line of 120 lambs made 11s. Rams made £4 4s.
