HELENSVILLE GOLF CLUB

THE first annual meeting of "the above Club was held on Monday ' evening, Mr T. Elliott presiding. , There was a fair attendance of members. The President congratulated the Club on its successful (first) season, "and wished them continued proserity. The Club's membership last year was 27 ladies and 30 gentlemen, • and it is expected that the number will be maintained this year. ' Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows : —

President—Mr T. Elliott (reelected). Secretary and treas. — Mr McKinnon. Auditor—Mr J. Screaton. Handicapper —Mr Fenner. Committee — Ladies, Mesdames Eames, Carter, Sewell, Stringer, and Miss Rimmer; gents, Messrs Stringer, Murphy, Fenner, Rose, and Carter. The following were the winners of competitions during the year : Gents' championship, Mr Fenner; Mr Page's silver button, Mir Murphy ; gents' bogey match, Mr Mascall; Mr J. A. Wilson's trophy, Mr E. McLeod; gents' medal competition, Mr Rose; Mr Hood's trophies (ladies), Mrs Peacock, (gents) Mr McKinnon; Dr. Phippen's silver buttons (4), Mesdames Peacock, Elliot, Sewell and Miss Rimmer; first year players (ladies), Miss Rimmer; Mr Page's silver button, Miss McLoughlin; Mr Ellis' trophy, Miss Rimmer.

The opening day was fixed forSaturday, April 15, when mixed foursomes will be played.
