DEATH DUE TO EATING GREEN
BLACKBERRIES
An inquest was lield afc the Heiensville Court House ou Friday, 28th January, before Mr W. E. Fosbroke. J.P. (acting Coroner), and a jury of sis, namely Messrs H. Graham (foreman), Joe Pdi;kes, H. West, J. W. Fletcher, W. H. Ryland, and Fred HallniaD, Constable Driscoll representing the police, on the body of a six year old child named A lien Jeffrey Hall, who died rather suddenly at his parents' residence, Helensvillfi, on Thursday, 27th January,
The father of the boy was Edward Hall, a- labourer, residing in Heiensville.
It appears from evidence of the
mother that deceased was in good health until Monday, 24ili January, when he complained of not feeling well; lie was in bed all day Tuesday and Wednesday; deceased stated then that he had been eating 'green blackberries. On Wednesday morning about 4..30 a.m., the father went for Dr. Phippen, who ordersd medicine at once. The child vomited, and died in convulsions at about 8 p.m. on Thursday. January 27th,
