Attitude of Greece—King States his Intentions — Allied Ships, on the Albanian Coast—More Men landed at Salonika
In an interview with American press representative, King Constaniine states that if the allies resorted to coercion Greece would protest to the world, and then resist passively until compelled to demobilise. He said that if the allies would consent (to consider the Balkan campaign closed if they were driven back he would guarantee the allied forces the protection of the Greek army while re-embarking. He would not withdraw Greek troops from Salonika or the frontiers.
British transports have landed the remainder of five allied divisions at Salonika. It is believed that 100,000 Servians have escaped into Albania, and that recruits will bring this -number up to quarter of a million.
It is unofficially reported that the British have captured or sunk 58 submarines, and have probably destroyed 20 others.
