' Doubts about Greece—New German Move in Balkans — Mackensen Turns Eastward —British Reverse in Mesopotamia s There are reports of a check in the negotiations with Greece. 1 The allies are unofficially reported to have reimposed the restrictions on Greek commerce which they prematurely rescinded. There is an unconfirmed report that the Russians have set foot in Bulgaria. Half of General yon Mackensen's army has hastily abandoned its southern march and gone to Bulgaria, whether to meet the Russians, to reinforce the Turks' at Gallipoli, or to attempt to outflank the allies in the south of Servia, is a matter of speculation. Monastir is now in the hands of the enemy. The small Servian army withdrew in a hurricane of snow, and made good its escape towards Ochrida, near the Albaniarx frontier. Two Hungarian battalions were drawn into an ambuscade of machine-guns by the Italians and not one of the 1500 escaped. - Jjjaf'Austrian losses against the 'iWfians are estimated at 300,000,- ---.
