HELENSVILLE TOWN BOARD
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18. PRESENT . Comrs. E. T. Field (chairman), J. Lambert, J. Wilson, T. Elliott, G. Sellars, A. Becroft, and the clerk (Mr H. W. Stringer). MINUTES Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. CORRESPONDENCE Outward correspondence was comfirined. A MOOT POINT Mr Cullens wrote asking that if he put in a septic tank would the Board compel him to connect with the sewer at some later date if it was put along the front of his place, and if so, would the Board indemnify him for any expense he is put to now for the septic tank.—The Clerk was instructed to reply that the Board 3ould not guarantee to indemnify lim. TENDERERS SCARCE The Clerk reported that no tenders had been received for the completion of Awaroa Street drainage. On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Com. Becroft, it was j decided to advertise in Auckland for tenders for completion of the drainage in Awaroa Road. BOARD'S NEXT MEETING On the motion of Com. Elliott, seconded by Com. Lambert, it was decided that the Board meet on Friday, 3rd December. OLD APPLICATION RENEWED • A letter was received from Mr Graham, asking that the path in front of his house be repaired.— The letter was referred to the Roads Committee to report at next meeting. AWAROA ROAD FOOTPATH On the motion of the Chairman seconded by Com. Becroft, the Clerk was instructed to notify the surfaceman to clear the footpath along Awaroa Road. EXTENSION OF TIME Mr Paul Beaver wrote asking :or an extension of time for conlecting his premises in First A.venue with the main sewer, to enable him to meet the requirements of a new tenant. —On the motion of Com. Elliott, seconded by Com. Lambert, it was decided to grant Mr Beaver three months' extension of time. PETMIT GRANTED Mr D. Bradly wrote asking for some earth to form a bridge in front of Elmont Dairy—Com. Wilson proposed and Com. Becroft seconded, that permission be granted, the earth to be taken from Graham's corner under the supervision of the surfaceman. FINANCE Dr. balance at Bank, £330/15/1. Accounts passed for payment, £51/17/5.
