KAUKAPAKAPA

[OWN CORRESPONDENT |

THE BISSON" MISSION

Miss Bisson, of the Manchester Wesleyan Mission, conducted an evangelistic mission in the Methodist Church, Kaukapakapa, which lasted for ten days and included two Sundays (August 15th and 22nd).

The services were all well attended, and Miss Bisson preached with much* ability, and pleaded with remarkable power. Handkerchiefs were freely used under the influence of her preaching, and even those who differed from her in their views, came again and again, for she swayed her audience and made her message interesting to all.

The mission closed on Tuesday evening, August 24th., with a lecture by Miss Bisson on " Stray Leaves from my Life's Story." The Church was crowded, and a number stood outside, while some who were unable to get in went away. Although no singing was interspersed, yet the speaker sustained the interest of her audience right up to the . last- word, and when the Chairman asked them to express their appeciaton of Miss Bisson's lecture and special work here, by way of acclamation, the hearty applanse was good proof that the Bisson Mission was a great success.
