Allied Airmen Active — German Submarine Sunk — Bombs on Military Posts—Germans threaten Servia—Fall of Brest Litovsk
There has been marked activity among aeroplane squadrons on the western front. French aviators, and a large squadron of French, British, and Belgian machines, have dropped bombs at many places of strategic or military importance.
A British airman dropped a bomb on a German submarine off OStend. The submarine sank.
Dutch newspapers report that the recent bombardment of Zeebrugge by a British fleet killed many German troops, and destroyed a number of submarines.
A report from Roumania states that the Austro-German forces are massing north of the Danube, and that they intend to strike at the north-eastern districts of Servia, with a view to advancing through Bulgaria to the assistance of Turkey.
A report from Berlin claims that 'General yon' Sfackenson's army stormed and captured the outer fortresses of Brest Litovsk, and that the .Russians then evacuated the fortress and retired eastward in good order.
