THE HELENSVILLE BRIDGE.

THIS new and handsome reinforced concrete structure is now all but completed, and will soon be open entirely for traffic. Mr Jas. McLeod, the riding representative in the Waitemata County Council, is already moving in the matter of getting some one or two members of the National Government, to come down about the middle of October next, and "open the bridge," which of course, will mean a "spread in the bargain." To get money out of the Government for Public Works, is a feature in introducing Cabinet Ministers to a district, and Mr McLeod appears (from past records) to be an adapt at this kind of courtesy.
