HELENSVILLE PLATOON

The usual Thursday evening parade wilrtake place to-night. Fall in at .Defence Office at 7.50 p.m.
On Saturday, 30th inst.. there will be a trenching parade in order to form a long range on Mr D. Stewart's property. Fall in 2 p.m. sharp. * « *-
The inspection parade held on the 22nd Inst. by Captains Dyer and Turley, was commented on very favourably by them. Several noncommissioned officers were called out and acquitted themselves very well.
The Kaipara Rifle Club net the National Reserve at Henderson, the Club beating- the Reservists by 38 points. Corporal Langdon and iifleman Sinclair made the highest number of points.
AJI boys of 14 years of age and upwards, whether attending school or not. are warnpd that they must register immediatety, Forms can be obtained at the Defence O ffice.
Several of our lads hsve-^ been recruiting here from Trenthain, on leave, but have now roturned.
