—AT PARK HURST—
Arbour Day was celebrated at the school, where a lot of work was got through, and a number of trees were planted by the pupils under the superintendance of the teacher, Miss McLaughlin. Though not as many residents were .present as could be wished, those who were there entered heart and soul into the work. Deserving of special thanks are the ladies who so generously provided afternoon tea for the workers and children, who did duty for the good things provided. The children delighted all present by the manner in which they acquitted themselves in their singing. The Committe wish to thank Mrs R. Farrell for milk and hot water; Mr Aitkenhead for use of motor car,; Mr A. McLeod for his 3-horse team; and all the three-horse teams at work clearing the ground, and stacking up logs.
The Committee would be glad if any of the young men of the district would volunteer to put in two or three hours to finish up the work, and communicate with the Chairman, when a day could be arranged.
