Turks on Defensive—Alarmed at Allied Advance —French Success in Argonne

Mr Ashmead Bartlett states that the Turks suffered enormous losses by their attack on June 28. Since then their artillery has been more active, fresh supplies of ammunition having apparently come to hand.
