DEFENCE NOTES
HELENSVILLE PLATOON
K.D.R.C
The Platoon has now a fair knowledge of company drill and rifle exercises, It would be, well if another squad could be raised in order that company drill can be proceeded with. There are a number of men over territorial age in the district who do not belong to any force, and under the present state of. affairs it would be well if they gave a small per centage of their time to learning the rudiments of military drill. At present this is a voluntary matter, but it may soon be a matter of compulsion.
