Stringer)' MINUTES Minutes of the previous meet" ing were read and confirmed. CORRESPON DENCE Correspondence read and either dealt with or laid upon the table. UNLICENSED PLUMBERS The Plumbers' Board wrote re the Board taking action against unlicensed plumbers. On the motion of Com. Stewart, seconded by Com. Elliott, it was decided that the Foreman furnish report of all sanitary plumbing done since Ist January last, for next meeting. Tire Chairman proposed and Com. Lambert seconded —That in future all permits for sanitation or plumbing be issued by the Clerk. —Carried. MORE LIGHT A letter was received from the Postmaster, asking if the Post Office officials agree to the placing of a lamp on the telegraph pole outside the Post Office, would the Town Board pay all costs in providing and erecting the lamp, and pay for the gas consumed, -which would be determined by meter? Mr Stewart proposed and the Chairman seconded—That the Clerk write to the Postmaster asking the cost of the gas. —Carried. RISE IN TAR The Auckland Gas Company wrote stating that the price of tar had been increased J^d per gallon.—Received. CROSSING GRANTED Mr V. F. McLeod made ap-' plication for a crossing in front of his gate in Mill Street. On the motion of Com. Elliott, seconded by Com. Stewart, it was decided to grant the request, applicant to pay cost. IMPORTANT QUESTION Mr W. Cullens wrote, asking if the Board could inform him how he could connect with the drain-age-sewer? It was decided, o n the motion of Com. Lambert seconded by Com. Becroft—That the engineer (Mr Munro Wilson) be asked to report. . GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR The Health Department wrote asking when the supervision of the drainage and plumbing work in the district, by one of the Department's inspectors, was to commence. Com.
