Owing to the holidays this week, the market has been unsettled, though a large volume of business has been done. The poultry market was short supplied and prices firmed considerably. For good conditioned hens and roosters strong demand exists, Turkeys are low. potatoes are firmed. Swedes and pumpkins are in heavy supply and prices are low. Fruit market firmer. POULTRY Hens, prime, 2/ to 2/9, good 1/8 to 2/, poor 1/4 to 1/6; ducks, 2/ to 2/10; roosters, prime 3/6 to 4/4 ; good 3/ to 3/2, cockrells 1/4 to 2/3; geese, 3/9 to 4/6. Pigs, 7/ to 12/6. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, Southern £7 to £7 10s, local good £4 15s to £6 ; pumpkins, £3 ; melons, £2 30s ; swedes, £2 to £2 10s. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter, 1/1 to 1/2 ; eggs, 1/8 to 1/9^ ; cheese, 9d tolOd; honey, 3d to 3]4d ; bacon, 9d to 9i/£d. GRAIN Maize, 6/; wheat, 8/; oats, 5/3 ; bran, 9/6; sharps, 10/6; Algerian seed oats, 7/9 ; chaff, Southern, 10s. FRUIT Apples, dessert, 4/6 to 7/6, cookers 5s to 6s 6d; pears, 5s to 9s; lemons, 4s 6d to 7s 6d.
