Mr. J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :- The poultry market this week was *' again very heavily supplied and prices • show no improvement. Owing to the heavy rain a large quantity of the birds r??, lardI ard in a d*ty state, which- ' had the effect, of lowering their value. iurkeys are not in strong demand ands| ' values are low. Pigs are much firm erT* Bruit demand steady. Local potatoes- , are m heavy supply and low in value. ." / Pumpkins and swedes are low and sales ~' ' hard to effect.
