SMOKE CONCERT

MR. E. S. Masters, happening to be on a business visit here yesterday, was tendered an impromptu smoke concert by a number of friends the same evening in Cucksey's Hotel, when the hostess, who had but short notice, provided an an excellent supper, the table being handsomely decorated, etc. Mr Jas. McLeod occupied the chair, and in a well-chosen speech, presented MiMasters (who suitably replied) with a handsome case of pipes. Songs were given by; Messrs Jas. Hand, Brooks, Cucksey, Rimm.er, and others. A very pleasant evening was spent.
