Mr. J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The market this week has been steady and values are about the same. Prime potatoes are firmer. There has been a large quantity of poultry sent forward and for good conditioned and fresh hens the market was much firmer. The 200 pullets as advertised realised high prices and were strongly competed for. pigs and turkeys are low. Fruit is meeting with a ready sale and values are firmer. POULTRY (1000 penned) Hens, 1/8 to 2/2, good 1/5 to 1/7, others 1/4 to l/o ; roosters, prime 3s 6d to 4s 6d, good 3s to 3s 2d, cockrells 1/3 to 2s; ducks, young 1/8 to 3s, old Is to 1/9 ; geese, to 3/6 ; turkeys gobblers 6/ to 7/6, hens 3/ to 4s. The 200 pullets penned realised from 2s 4d to 4s. Pigs, 5/ to 9/. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, prime, 6s to 7s, good 5/10 to 6s sd, poor 3s to 4s; onions, 7s to 7s 6d ; picklers 7/ to 8s ; pumpkins 5/6 to 7s ; swedes, £2 to £2 10s; kumaras, Id to Vegetables are scarce. DAIRY PRODUCE Eggs fresh 1/8 to 1/10, butter 9d to 10Hd, bacon 9d to lOd, cheese 7d to Bd, honey 3s to ss, bulk honey 3d to. 3J^d FRUIT Apples, dessert 3/6 to 6s, good 3.s to to 3/9, cookers 3s to 5/; plums, 2s; passiqn fruit, 1/9 to 2s 6d; peaches, good 2/ to 4s, others 1/3 to Is 6d; grapes, 3s to 4/6 ; pears, Bon Qretion, 4s to 4s 6d, cookers 3s to 4s ; tomatoes, 2s Id to 3s 6di lemons, choice 8/ to 10/6.
