STOCK SALES
The Auckland Farmers' Union, Limited, report:— At Omana on the Ist inst., we submitted the biggest yarding of stock we have ever penned at that centre. They were a fine-conditioned lot of 'cattle, the majority being beef steers and cows and well conditioned 3 and 4-year steers. Buyers attended from TePuke, Waikato, Auckland and surrounding districts, and competition was spirited throughout, the whole yarding being disposed of at prices in advance of any recorded so far this season. Beef steers (all weights), £12 10s to .-£l4; cows, £6 10s to £8 ; 3 and 4-year steers (in good condition), £9 to £10 15s ; fresh-conditioned store cows, £5 5s to £6 15s. At Kamo on the 2nd inst., we penned 1200 head, a greater number of them being 3 and 4-year steers of nice quality and as we had outside buyers present, competition was fairly keen, and although prices were not on a level with those reached at Omana the previous day, we have to report a good sale.
