HELENSVILLE SALES

Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report on Helensville sale of Wednesday, 3rd inst., as follows :—

There was s large yarding of store cattle. Beef made from £6 to £8 ; store steers, 2-year, up to £5; yearlings, to £2 15s; calves, 30s to 35s ; empty cows, £4 to £4 ss. Horses, up to £40 ; yearlings, £12 to £14; 2-year-olds, £18 to £20. Pigs, £2 to £2 ss. There were some 800 sheep offered ; heavy in demand ; from 7s to 22s 6d.

At Davison Bros' sale of live and dead stock good prices were realised according to quality, while implements and furniture realised fair prices.
