Nominations for the Kaipara Licensing Commissioners of five, close on Saturday next at noon, and from what the ECHO can gather, the old Committee will alone he again nominated, in which case a contested election will be unnecessary. At one time since tl)e advertised announcement for nominations, it was quite on the cards that Helensyilte would nominate at least one candidate for ejection, considering it time this part of the electorate, which claims no less than seven licensed houses, should be represented, but as there was no previous organisation and time so short between nomination and elec/ion, the matter was allowed to lap^c.
