UNITED WEEKLY MEETINGS
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —By your kind permission and the use of your columns, I would like to pass on an idea to the Christians of Helensville. I notice there are a number of Churches in this town and all seem unable to run a successful weeknight meeting, probably on account of small congregations, and the lack of interest generally, while the few who are interested get weary of trying, and the meetings started from time to time die a natural death. I would suggest that those who are interested in each Church, meet to decide on and to make any necessary arrangements for a UNITED weekly gathering. Perhaps the different pastors could arrange for a meeting to talk this matter over. I believe' all the Churches would benefit by it. We should be a help to each other by meeting for prayer and praise Almighty God, and by studying His Word together. I have spoken to a few about this matter, and all seem to think it very desirable. I would like to know what others think of it. Thanking you in" anticipation.—l am, etc., Isaac Hughes. Fourth Avenue, Helensville, 19th Feb., 1915.
