SATURDAY HALF-HOLIDAY

A special meeting of the' Helensville Town Board was held in the Town Board office on Saturday last, when but four members put in appearance, to consider the petition for changing the statutory half-holiday from Thursday tp Saturday, viz., Messrs Fu-ld (chairman), Elliott, Limbert, aud Beproft. Mr J3lliott proposed and Mr Lambert seconded— That the statutory weekly half-holiday for the ensuing year be held on Saturday instead of Thursday as hereto °ore. Mr Becroit proposed, as an amendment—That the half-holidny remain as at present. This met with no seconder, and the original motion was carried. The new order of things commences next month.
