CRICKET MATCH

A Cricket Club was formed here some few weeks ago, and now has a membership of 16 or 17. On Boxing Day the Glorit team came over to play a friendly match with the infant team, The Glorit captain generously exchanged some of his best men for some of the local players, and owing to this a good game was played, and Makarau was enabled to come off the winner. Makarau will not, we hope, forget this courtesy, Lunch and afternoon tea were provided by the local ladies, and everyone had a very enjoyable day.—■ Happy New Year to all.
