WAIMAUKU
On Saturday evening (the 24th inst.), Mr and Mrs Vincent KerrTaylor entertained the Waimauku footballers and officials to a dinner at their residence, " Glendale," Waimauku. As everyone was expected to have a good appetite, the diningtable was laden with tempting things, and the realisation was even better than the anticipation. After toasting everyone and everything that could be thought of, the guests adjourned to the drawing-room, where bridge and euchre interested some, while others amused themselves by giving the ladies supper, all having an enjoyable and merry time. Songs and solos were rendered by Mrs V. Kerr-Taylor, Misses Fletcher, Miss Muriel Kerr-Taylor, Messrs T. KerrTaylor, C. Fletcher, and L. KerrTaylor. Once more the table was laden and a dainty supper partaken of. About mid-night the guests joined hands round the table and sang " Old Lang Syne" and " God Save the King;" and gave three cheers for the host and hostess.
