Mr. J. JONES* Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The market this week has firmed considerably and most lines are firm. Local fruit is now practically off the market. Pigs are a shade lower. Poultry was penned in increased numbers and for. young and well conditioned birds the market was firm. The majority of the ducks coming forward are Indian Runners and are on the poor side. New potatoes are in good supply and the market lower. POULTRY (14,030 penned) Hens, 2/6 to 3/2, good 2/2 to 2/4, special pens up to 4/ ; roosters, prime to 5/2, good 3/3 to 3/11, small 2/to 3/9;' ducks, young 2s 6d to 8s 5d old 1/9 to 2/4 ; geese, to 4/6 ; turkeys,, gobblers 6/3 to 10s, hens 4/ to 6/,' chickens 4d to9d each. Pigs, 11/6 to 24/. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, Southern (table) £3 to £4, Southern seed varieties £3 to £5, local new 2d to 2]^d lb; onions, 12/6 to 19s. 6d ; swedes, £2 5s to £2 15s ; pumpkins, £6 to £7 ; fungus, 5d lb DAIRY PRODUCE Eggs fresh lld to Is, butter 9d to 9Hd, bacon 9d to lOd, cheese 7d to 7i^d, honey 3/ to 4/, bulk honey 3d to 3^d, GRAIN Maize 4/ to 4/5, wheat 5/ to 5/9 ; oats 3/5, bran £5 10s, sharps £8, Algerian oats 3/8, barley 3/6, chaff local £6 10s to £6 15s. FRUIT Apples, American 14/ to 16/ ; oran "-es P.M, 5/ to 7/ ; lemons, choice 7/6 to 10/, good 6/6.
