THE ELEGTORAL ROLLS
THE fact that forty per cent of the electors have been struck off the rolls since the last general election ought to place the democratic section of the country on its guard. It is preposterous to suppose that forty out of each hundred of the electors have died or changed to other electorates within the comparatively short period of three years. Therefore, the inference is obvious that a great many people have been struck off notwithstanding that their qualification to vote still remains good. The system that has been pursued by the B.ainbow Minister, who is in charge of the electoral department, is calculated tq play into the hands of " Reform " all the time.. —Wellington " Post."
