500 WAR QUERIES ANSWERED

The average man who eagerly reads the

war cables is constantly puzzled by such

queries as " What is an Army Corps ?" " Who is Joffre ?" "How is an Army Formed?" "Which Nation owns the most Airships?" " Who Lead the Great Armies?" etc.

. " Life " magazine has just issued the first sixpenny number of " Life's War Guide "—a new and excellent war publication —in which hundreds of queries such as the above are clearly and accurately answered. These many answers to war queries are supplemented by a number of excellent special articles —• notably two by Dr W. Li. Fitchett, entitled " The Strategy of the Great War," and " How the Great War Began."

"Life's War Guide " is published at sixpence in fortnightly parts. With each number is included an eight-page Pocket War Atlas—-a most useful idea for ready reference. Anyone who reads "Life's War Guide" will certainly find many daily puzzles about the war made plain, and also enjoy an excellent cluster of special war articles.

" Life's War Guide " No. 1 is on sale locally for sixpence. If unobtainable, sevenpence in stamps sent to "Life," 382 Swanson Street, Melbourne, will bring a copy by return post. The sender's name and address, written on a sheet of note-

paper—with the request " Send ' Life's War Guide ' No 1 "—will be sufficient, But the first four numbers of "Life's War Guide" —definitely announced — should he ordered from the local bookseller for delivery as published.

If 2s 4d in stamps or postal note is sent to the above address, the first four numbers of " Life's War Guide " will be sent by post to any address immediately they are published.
