By special request the opera was repeated on Wednesday evening, on which occasion, almost needless to say, everything ran much more smoothly, the performers acquitting themselves with great credit, Miss Hilda Ganley, as upon the previous evening, attending to every detail and managing the stage generally. But, unfortunately, the audience was, though thoroughly appreciative, not a large one, notwithstanding that Mr A. Becroft, of Star Picture fame (next door), closed down for the occasion after having arranged a good Picture show for a similar Patriotic fund, and going to some expense in the doing of it.
