HELENSVILLE SWING BRIDGE
When the . Prime Minister was in Auckland last, the Chairman of the Helensville Town Board (Mr James McLeod) waited on him for the purpose of bringing under his immediate notice the delay in passing the plans for the Helensville swing bridge. Mr Massey then promised to see that the plans should be put through.
On July 10th the following telegrams were received by Mr Jas. McLeod:—
" Plans Helensville bridge v/ere approved by Governor yesterday, Marine Department communicating with you. —W. F. Massey."
" Governor-in-Council has approved plans Helensville bridge, and authorised County Council to carry out work, —G. Allport."
