MR. J. Jones, Auctioneer, Victoria and Lome Streets, Auckland, reports :— The market is steady, and values in most lines are about the same as last week. Local potatoes are now almost finished. Onious are in heavy supply. Pumpkins, and swedes are now in better demand. Fruit is steady, Poultry came foaward in large numbers and sold well. Turkeys are in heavy supply, the majority are on the poor side, but good birds are in strong demand. Pigs, short supply and demand firm; 8s to 18/6. POULTRY 1600 penned. Roosters, prime 3/6 to 4/3, good 3s to 3/2, others 2s to 2/6 ; hens, 1/9 to 2/6; pullets, 2s to 3/11 (according to breed and size) ; ducks, 2s to 3/4 ; geese, 3/6 to 4/9; turkeys, gobblers J7s to 10/3, hens 3/6 to 6/9. FARM PRODUCE Potatoes, southern £5 to £5 10s, loca^ £2 10s to £3; onions, 5s to 6/9 ; swedes, £110s to £2 ; pumpkins, £2 10s to £3 10s; melons, £3 to £3 15s ; cabbages, 3s to 6s sack; kumeras, 8s to 8/6. fungus, 4d to s^d. DAIRY PRODUCE Butter, 9d to 9^d ; eggs, 1/8 ; cheese, 5d to 7d ; hams, lOJ^d ; lard, 5d to 5%d • honey, 4s. FRUIT Apples, dessert 6/9 to 8/3, others 4s to 5/6, cookers 5/6 to 7s ; pears, 6.s to 7s ; lemons, 5s to 8/6 ; Island oranges, 5s to 8/9 ; bananas, 2d to 2V£d. GRAIN Maize 3/8 to 4/4, wheat 4s to 4/6, oats 2/6, bran £4 10s, sharps £7 ss, chaff £5 to £5 10s, barley 3/, rice meal £5, Algerian oats 3s to 3/9.
