KAUKAPAKAPA
(From Our.Own '.'Ol respondent) On Saturday morning many anxious eyes scanned the sky in the effort to foretell the weather. It was the great day for the Hirle Club, for it ■was to shoot for trophies presented by Mr E. Stewart (ex-President) aud Mr Gr. Dye (vice-Presidtnt). The wind, though fairly strong, was steady, and until late on in the afternoon the light was good. Considering that the Club is not yet a year old, and that i'esv of the members have had any previous experience of rifle shooting, the competitors acquitted themselves well. -During the season Cox. .has proved himself the most consistent shot, and. so Avins the medal donated by the Club. 200 300 500 Hdp.
