! On a small island of the dam at Beard's Mill Worksop, Nottinghamshire, a swan has reared the large number of twelve cygnets. Little was known as to how the sitting was progressing until the proud mother bird took the full dozen into the water. It is believed that this is a record in cygnet rearing.
