AN EMOLLIENT FOR CHAPPED HANDS.
Mix well together loz. of gly- j cerine ; alcohol, 30z.; and rose- ■ water, 4oz. After drying- the hands ' rub a little of this balm over j them. It may be applied at any time, and is peculiarly soothing and healing if used plentifully on retiring for the night ; loose gloves, with the tips of the fingers cut off, | should then be drawn over the i hands.
